Room in shared apartment, Turbinenstrasse 31

Hi there, We are Mathias (34) and Fabian (25) and have a room available at our place **from 1st September onwards (exact date can be agreed)** as our current flatmate is moving out to live alone. Thus, we are looking for a new flatmate for our lovely place! About your room: Your beautiful room is 16sqm large, quiet, bright (facing east) and has huge windows receiving morning sun. About your location: We are located at Turbinenstrasse 31, right in the heart of Zurich West. The area combines the best of two worlds: Being close to hip restaurants, bars, parks and Viadukt shopping while at the same time being in a quiet side street with zero noise. Your flat is on the 7th floor, high enough so we can watch the evening sun set from our balcony without surrounding buildings blocking the view. Access to public transport is formidable, within 4min walking you are at Hardbrücke station - the heart of Zurich's transport system. Supermarkets, pharmacies, gym are all right next door and you'll reach Limmat for a swim in just over 5 min. About your flat: The flat has enough space to go around - 120sqm in total, with 3 bedrooms (Fabian, Mathias and you), a spacious living room, a large and modern kitchen with another dining table, a 20sqm balcony, 2(!) bathrooms (both fully equipped with shower, toilet, sink, cabinet, etc.) and even a storage room in the flat on top of the basement storage that is also available. In terms of amenities, the flat is equipped for comfort: We have a private washing machine, tumble drier, oven, steamer, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and more. Parking space in the building's garage can be rented and visitor parking is available for free. About your flatmates: We are Fabian (25 year old, Italian) and Mathias (34 years old, German). * Fabian lives since 2026 in the flat, speaks German, English & Italian. He works as a Software developer and is passionate about nature and sports: climbing, bouldering, running and skiing. Fabian has lived in Austria for his bachelor and masters. He enjoys a casual, easy-going yet personal atmosphere in the flat. * Mathias have lived in the flat since 2019, but with a few years in Australia in between. I speak German, English and Spanish, which I have picked up during an exchange Semester in Chile - one of my favorite countries. I really enjoy spending time out at the lake in summer, playing spikeball, swimming, meeting friends to go to restaurants or a bar and take full advantage of the amazing place that is Zurich in good weather. Other than that I do sports, travel loads, play the piano and like socializing. I work as a consultant, which allows me to travel often during the week. Your flat environment: During the Mo-Fr work week, the flat is calm. Both Fabian and I split our time between office and home office, and ensure the flat allows focus time during the working hours and quiet rest time in the evenings. On the weekends or Friday evenings, the flat from time to time becomes more lively if we invite friends/family for dinner or to stay over. Our environment is easy-going and respectful. So sometimes when we have time, we like to have dinner together and go for a drink but also we respect and value each other's time. We like to keep common areas clean and tidy.
