Why immomax exists
Looking for a flat or a house in Switzerland usually means checking several portals and seeing many of the same properties on each. immomax puts these listings into one search – so you spend more time comparing and less time going from site to site.
Merging duplicates
The same property often appears on several portals, with a different title, different photos or a different price. We recognise such duplicates by address, building and image similarity, and merge them where we are confident enough. A merged result names the portals we found it on – and if the details differ, you can see that.
What a listing also shows on immomax
A rent on its own says little about what a place really costs. So we add the municipality’s tax burden for a household profile, the public transport travel time to a destination of your choice, a price comparison with the municipality and, where available, details of the building such as heating and year of construction.
Where the data comes from
From publicly viewable listings on Swiss portals, and from listings that agencies and private owners post directly with us. Our listings show where they come from and, as a rule, when we last checked them. When a property disappears at the source, we take it out of our search too after the next sync.
Fair to sources and advertisers
Contact always goes to the original source: for other portals’ listings we deliberately offer no contact channel of our own and never put ourselves between you and the advertiser. We show company and agency details, but the personal contact details of individual staff only if the person has published them. We can switch off any source individually if it asks us to.
How we make money
Searching, search alerts, saved listings and private listings are free. Only visibility options for professional advertisers cost money, and they are labelled as such. We do not sell personal data.
Choices we’ve made
- Transparency over polish: we show where a listing comes from, how old it is and where it contradicts itself, rather than smoothing it over.
- Four languages from the start – German, French, Italian and English.
- No cookie banner, because we use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.
- Speed is part of the product: comparing many properties should not mean waiting for loading bars.
