Minusio borders Muralto, Orselina, Brione, Contra, and Tenero. In Rivapiana, directly on the lake, is the renowned Catholic Church of San Quirico. The church, in Baroque style, dating back to 1313, was rebuilt in the 18th century. Inside the church, on the south wall, are remains of Romanesque paintings from the 13th century. The Romanesque bell tower dates back to the 13th-15th century and was used in the past as a watchtower. The church has a lovely public park with a splendid panoramic view. Nearby is the Ca di Ferro, a castle-like building, built in the years 1540-1580 by the entrepreneur Peter A for the Swiss military. The chapel dates back to 1630.
