Description

An apartment on the second floor of the cooperative in Mattenstraße is being cleared. As a cooperative, we are looking for new residents who would like to live with us. The apartment is part of a complex of five houses that are connected both spatially and organizationally and surround an open courtyard. The residents of the houses live in smaller communities and shared flats, but we all participate together in the organization of work around the houses. The cooperative is organized into working groups that meet 12 times a month or more often if needed. At least once a month, a meeting of all residents who share the living spaces takes place, where everyone who attends has the opportunity to discuss various topics or bring their own ideas. This apartment consists of two rooms that can be used as two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a balcony with a view of the courtyard. One room offers a view of the street. Heating is provided by wood, which is ordered every year; in both rooms, there is a small wood stove. Costs The rent for the apartment is 700 CHF per month. Wood: 400 CHF per year Electricity: approximately 1,000 CHF per year (this amount fluctuates frequently) The costs also include share certificates that need to be replaced because people who move out of the apartment take their share with them. This amount is 15,000 CHF. With this money, new residents of the apartments become members of the cooperative. The money is deposited into a bank account and must not be touched or used for speculation by anyone. If someone leaves the cooperative, the money is refunded as soon as a replacement is found.
